With the Dalibei you put down your ego
und and let the Dao arise within you –
a new, free life awakens.
Dalibai are great bows, prostrations, with which we express our unconditional devotion to the Dao. Like Tibetans on pilgrimage who prostrate themselves on every step of the way, we also show our deep respect for the all-embracing great reality of the Dao.
But bowing down does not mean to worship a god or something external. The Dalibai are our physical gateway to the Dao. By bowing, we lay down our ego and, as if reborn, rise again in the reality of the Dao. We become a completely new person, we receive a new life. Through the daily practice we become more and more deeply aware of our true life.
